I offer online therapy in Australia to private-pay clients across — Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Canberra, and regional areas alike. Sessions take place over secure video, so you can work with me from wherever you live, without commuting to a clinic.
Who This Service Is For
This practice is designed for English-speaking adults who:
- Prefer to pay privately for therapy rather than use Medicare or insurance pathways
- Value flexibility and confidentiality in how they access mental health support
- May be professionals, expats, or anyone seeking an integrative psychotherapy approach online
Important: Private-Pay Practice
I do not bulk bill. I do not accept Medicare rebates. I do not offer sliding-scale or reduced-fee sessions.
If you are looking for Medicare-subsidised psychology or bulk-billing services, this practice will not be the right fit. I understand that limits accessibility, and I encourage you to explore those options through your GP or services like Beyond Blue if they better suit your circumstances.
For clients who do pay privately, some international private health insurers may reimburse online psychotherapy sessions. I can provide receipts for you to submit — please check your individual policy.
Session fee: $150 AUD
How Online Therapy in Australia Works
Online psychotherapy follows the same structure as in-person work. The difference is delivery: we meet via a secure, encrypted video platform rather than in a consulting room.
Practically, this means:
- No travel time — attend from home, your office, or anywhere private
- Wider choice — you are not limited to therapists in your suburb or city
- Consistency — if you relocate within Australia or travel, sessions continue uninterrupted
- Privacy — you choose the environment that feels safest for you
Sessions are typically weekly, last 50 minutes, and are scheduled by mutual agreement.
My Approach
I work integratively, drawing on several evidence-based modalities depending on what you need:
- Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Schema Therapy
- Emotion-Focused Therapy
- Attachment-informed interventions
- Psychodynamic insights
- Trauma-informed strategies
Some clients want structured tools for managing anxiety. Others want space to explore longer-standing relational patterns. Many need both at different points. I adapt the work to fit you, not the other way around.
About Professional Titles
Titles for therapists vary internationally. In France, where I am based, my regulated title is psychopraticien. In English-speaking contexts, I refer to my work as psychotherapy and describe myself as a psychotherapist. I hold formal qualifications and maintain ongoing professional development and peer supervision.
If you have questions about credentials, qualifications, or regulatory frameworks, I am happy to discuss these directly — just get in touch.
Melbourne Clients
If you are specifically in Melbourne, I have a dedicated page with more local detail:
Common Questions
- Do you accept Medicare? No. This is a private-pay practice.
- Can I claim on private health insurance? Some international policies cover online psychotherapy. Check with your insurer; I provide receipts.
- What if I need a Mental Health Care Plan? That pathway requires a GP referral and a Medicare-registered psychologist. I operate outside that system. If a Mental Health Care Plan is important to you, your GP can guide you.
- Is online therapy as effective as in-person? Research consistently shows comparable outcomes for most presentations. I am happy to discuss this further before we begin.
More answers are on the FAQ page.
